Fraser Forster
On 24 August 2010, Forster joined Celtic on a season-long loan from Newcastle. Celtic manager Neil Lennon described Forster by saying, “He’s a big boy, he’s come highly recommended, his age is the only thing going against him because otherwise he’s all the qualities you look for.” He made his Celtic debut on 29 August 2010 away at Motherwell and kept a clean sheet as Celtic won 1–0. He then went on to play in every match of Celtic’s season with the exception of two cup matches.
Forster had a successful season with Celtic, winning a runner-up medal in the League Cup and Scottish Premier League.Between them, Forster and fellow goalkeeper Łukasz Załuska kept 23 clean sheets in the league, breaking Celtic’s previous clean sheet record from the 2001–02 season. Forster kept 21 of the clean sheets.He capped off his season with a 3-0 victory over Motherwell to help Celtic win the Scottish Cup. In total, he kept 24 clean sheets in 44 matches for Celtic.
After appearing for Newcastle in pre-season against Darlington,Orlando City,Leeds United and Fiorentina,as well as being named among the substitutes for the opening game of the Premier League season against Arsenal, Forster rejoined Celtic, on loan for the remainder of the season, on 17 August 2011. He helped Celtic draw 0-0 against FC Sion at home, but then lost 3-1 in the away leg, only for the UEFA to reinstate Celtic into the Europa League with 3-0 wins in both legs after Sion were found to be fielding ineligible players, thus allowing Forster to keep his two only clean sheets in Europe for the season, as he conceded in all the five group games he played in
Forster had a successful 2011-12 season with Celtic, winning the Scottish Premier League and helping his team beat the previous season’s record of 23 clean sheets. He and Zaluska kept 25 clean sheets combined, Forster racking up 21 of them.In total, he kept 26 clean sheets from 47 games.
On 30 June 2012, it was announced that Forster had signed for Celtic on a permanent deal.
Emilio Izaguirre
Izaguirre agreed a four-year contract with Scottish Premier League side Celtic on 18 August 2010, subject to receiving a work permit. He signed for an undisclosed fee and was given the number 3 shirt.He made his SPL debut in a 1–0 victory over Motherwell on 29 August 2010. Izaguirre gave a solid performance that drew plaudits from Celtic manager Neil Lennon and Motherwell manager Craig Brown.On 19 September 2010, Izaguirre set up Anthony Stokes for the winning goal in a 2-1 league victory over Kilmarnock at Rugby Park. On 30 October 2010, he scored his first Celtic goal in a SPL game against St. Johnstone, where he intercepted a back pass then flicked the ball over St. Johnstone centre back Dave MacKay, before slotting a goal under the goalkeeper. The game ended 3–0 to Celtic, with Izaguirre awarded man of the match for his performance. In Celtic’s 3–0 victory over Rangers on 20 February 2011, he set up Gary Hooper’s second goal.
In the 2011 League Cup Final defeat to Rangers, Izaguirre was sent off in extra time for a foul on Vladimír Weiss. On 6 April 2011, he had another man of the match performance against Hibernian in a 3-1 SPL victory, setting up Stokes for the first goal of the game.In the 2010-11 SPL season, Izaguirre achieved a clean sweep of available senior player awards as chosen by players, organisations and the Celtic supporters. Izaguirre won both the SPFA Players’ Player of the Year and Scottish Premier League Player of the Year awards for 2010–11. The judging panel for the latter award described Izaguirre as a “class act”, while Celtic assistant manager Johan Mjallby commented that Izaguirre could become one of the best players in his position in world football.
On 8 May 2011, at Celtic’s award ceremony, Izaguirre picked up the Players’ Player of the Year Award.Finally, he was voted Scottish Football Writers player of the year, rounding off a highly successful first season in Scottish football for Izaguirre.Izaguirre started in the Celtic side on the opening day of the 2011–12 season against Hibernian before suffering a broken ankle in the second match of Celtic’s season on 7 August against Aberdeen. Izaguirre required surgery on his ankle and was ruled out for between four and six months. On 27 August 2011, he signed a new contract with Celtic, due to run until 2015 Izaguirre returned to training, after recovering from his ankle injury, in December 2011. He made his long-awaited return as a substitute on 2 January 2012 in Celtic’s 3-0 win over Dunfermline Athletic at East End Park.
Efe Ambrose
Celtic
Ambrose joined Scottish Premier League club Celtic in the summer 2012 transfer deadline day, signing a three-year contract. After joining the club, Ambrose praised his new team mates at Celtic for helping him settle down in Glasgow quickly.Ambrose also revealed he studied British football in order to join Celtic by watching both Scottish Premier League and English Premier Leaguqe games on TV upon hearing about Celtic’s interest in him.
Ambrose made his début as a substitute for Celtic captain Scott Brown against Dundee in the Scottish Premier League, a 2–0 victory. He played his full début against Raith Rovers in the League Cup, in a 4–1 victory. He scored his first goal for Celtic in a 5–0 win over St Mirren on 20 October 2012. Ambrose would also made his Champions League debut, where he played 90 minutes in a 3–2 win over Spartak Moscow. Ambrose made a mistake in a last minute when he headed in an own goal, in a 2–2 draw against Dundee United on 4 November 2012. After the match, Ambrose said he let himself down and felt that he could have cleared the ball away.
Ambrose made two starts and played against Barcelona with one game is each a win and lose for Celtic. Ahead of the match against Barcelona, Ambrose says he made a promise to give his best ever performance for the club.After the match, Celtic won 2–1 and Ambrose spoken out the match, that winning against Barcelona was a ‘perfect way to celebrate Celtic’s 125th anniversary and gave credit to God for the scoreline.
Virgil Van Dyk
FC Groningen
van Dijk started his career with Willem II before transferring to FC Groningen in 2010 on a free transfer after just one season. van Dijk made his professional debut for FC Groningen coming on as a 72nd minute substitute for Petter Andersson during the 4-2 victory against ADO Den Haag on 1 April 2011. During the 2011-12 season, van Dijk made 23 league appearances for the Eredivisie side, scoring his first professional goal during the 6-0 demolition of Feyenoord on 30 October 2011. van Dijk scored his second professional goal for FC Groningen on 22 January 2012 against Heracles Almelo in a 2-1 victory before scoring again the following week during a 4-1 defeat to FC Twente. van Dijk scored his first goal of the 2012-13 season on 7 October 2012 during a 2-2 draw with Feyenoord. van Dijk yet again scored against Feyenoord in the return fixture on 23 December 2012 during a 2-1 defeat.
Celtic
On 21 June 2013, he signed a four-year contract with Celtic for a fee of around £2.6m after leaving Eredivisie club FC Groningen. He has been a star for the Scottish champions since scoring two against Ross County from headers and then a goal of the month nomination against St.Johnstone.

The Welsh internationalist joined Celtic in the summer of 2011 on a pre-contract agreement from Cardiff City.
Despite his tender years, and fierce competition for the right-back berth, he has swiftly become a key member of Neil Lennon’s side. The defender bagged his first goal for the club in December 2012 during a Scottish Cup win at Arbroath.
A product of Cardiff City’s youth system, Matthews broke into their top-team aged just 17. He went on to play over half of the club’s first-team matches in the 2009/10 season, attracting interest from several Premier League clubs.
The defender has become a firm favourite with the Celtic support, for his reliable defensive displays as well as his ability to play further up the park as a right winger.

Stefan Johansen is a highly-rated Norwegian internationalist, who signed for Celtic from reigning Norwegian champions, Stromsgodset, during the January 2014 transfer window.
The 23-year-old midfielder signed a three-and-a-half year deal with Celtic and becomes the fourth Norwegian player to join the club, following in the footsteps of Harald Brattbakk, Vidar Riseth and Thomas Rogne.
He has been capped for his country at level, and made his first full international appearance for Norway in 2013.

on May 16th the Bhoys paid a reported £4.4 million to beat Rangers, Tottenham and Everton for Brown’s signature. Ironically, just three days after the move was agreed Brown scored against the Hoops in a league match at Easter Road. The transfer was a record fee between Scottish clubs and an accurate reflection of the then 21-year-old’s growing reputation.

Mulgrew re-signed for Celtic in July 2010 after coming through the ranks at the club as a youngster, and has grasped his second-chance as a Bhoy with both hands, becoming a key member of Neil Lennon’s side.
He never made a first-team appearance before leaving the Hoops in 2006 and joined Wolves before moving on to Aberdeen.
The 25-year-old won 11 caps at under 21 level for Scotland and earned his first call-up to the full national side in 2012. He has continued to be a vital player for his country since Gordon Strachan took charge. Meanwhile, his club form was recognised in 2012 when he was awarded Scotland’s Player of the Year.
Mulgrew’s versatility has seen him comfortably perform in defence and midfield during his time at Celtic, while also donning the captain’s armband in Scott Brown’s absence.

Forrest made his debut twice as memorable by scoring a wonderful goal against Motherwell at Celtic Park in a 4-0 SPL win on May 1, 2010.
The winger is a product of the Celtic Youth Academy, and began to push into the first team after picking up championship, Scottish Youth Cup and Glasgow Cup medals as a teenager.
He travelled with the first-team to take part in the Emirates Cup 2010 and won the Young Player of the Tournament award, helping him force his way into Neil Lennon’s side.
His rapid progress has continued unabated over the past few seasons, and in January 2012 he was named by FIFA as one of the brightest young talents in world football.
Forrest is now an established Scottish internationalist, having made his debut against Ireland in May 2011. Celtic beat off stiff competition to sign the Swedish internationalist on a pre-contact from Rosenberg in November 2011, with the new Bhoy officially starting his three-and-a-half year deal the following January.
The defender began his career with Umea and GIF Sundsvall in his homeland, before enjoying a successful spell in Norwegian football, earning him a call-up to national side.
Lustig is now an established internationalist and helped his country qualify for Euro 2012.
In his first full season in Paradise, he became a key member of Neil Lennon’s side, and has continued to excel at right back. He is just as comfortable in central defence but likes to push forward and join the attack when he can.

Israeli midfielder, Nir Biton, joined the Hoops already knowing two of the players. Having played with Efe Ambrose at his previous club FC Ashdod, and Beram Kayal at international level, he was given a head start in terms of settling in.
Played most often in the defensive midfield role, Biton has spent his entire career at Ashdod, breaking into the first team at the age of 17. Now at 21, he has over 100 first team appearances to his name as well as numerous caps for Israel from Under-17s up to the first team squad.
He was one of two late signings by Neil Lennon, in the summer of 2013, joining shortly before Teemu Pukki, and wears the No.6 jersey.

The second Israeli to play for the club after Eyal Berkovic, who Kayal used to watch on TV when the former Celt was playing for the Hoops,Holder of two Israeli championship medals, Kayal joined Celtic from Maccabi Haifa and quickly made a favourable impression in his first season in Paradise.
He signed a new deal in October 2011, which extended his contract with the Hoops until 2015. The midfielder is also a regular for his national side after appearing at Under-17, 18, 19 and 21 levels for Israel.
Season 2013/14 has been disrupted due to injury, but Kayal has returned to first-team action in March.

Stokes became the first player since Henrik Larsson to score consecutive hat-tricks in SPL games while on loan at Falkirk from Arsenal when he netted triples against Dundee United and then Dunfermline,Made his debut in a 3-0 win over Hearts at Celtic Park and netted the winner the following week in a 2-1 win over Kilmarnock for his first goal for the club.
He was unfortunate last season having missed the first half through injury but he returned looking sharp and scored the winner in extra-time to book Celtic39s place in the Scottish Cup final with a 4-3 win against Dundee United.
By the end of March 2014, Stokes had scored 14 goals this season, including a double in the title-clinching game at Firhill, while his overall contribution to the campaign has been superb, with a string of impressive performances.
