For 2018 the celtic footsoldiers will remain a free subscription site but the addition of adverts may be introduced later this year as monitizing the site makes sense to earn a small portion back for the time put into working the site, I understand adverts can put people of as they can become annoying , I’ve encountered these issues myself on other blogging sites that I like to visit , so I will trial advertising at some point in the year and weigh it up against readership and statistics etc…

my goal would obviously be for their to be little impact on subscriptions or followers who view the blog, the site itself has come a long way since it’s humble beginnings on blog. Com the upgraded version today on WordPress has been running for 3 yrs and the migration over from the previous website was the correct decision as WordPress is the best site out their for up and coming writers and bloggers…

over the years I’ve tried to focus the blog mainly on celtic football club my main sporting passion , but recent additions of the UFC page ,Liverpool page , and FIFA gaming page have been nice extras to diversify the content a bit , for 2017 the general look and feel of the blog will remain the same, I feel it’s established with people who may return and are familiar with the outlay and setup, so things will mostly stay as they are…

the temptation is for cosmetic changes and wholesale facelifts but I feel this may impact on returning readers being unfamiliar with a site they were happy with so like I say cosmetically we will keep it as is , however I will add a few more pages , one being a A-Z OF CELTIC which will be a work in progress throughout the year…

another page I will introduce this year is the MAN OF THE MATCH page whoever has had the award in the game we will have a small write up on the individual with stats etc this page is obviously starting mid season but again it will be a work in progress…

theirs over 40 pages on the site at the moment all useable and coinciding with the regular posts I’m hoping their is enough content to keep people interested, with regards to actual posts I usually choose 5 other posts from other blogs to feature on the blog daily or news items from other sites , as well as my own posts, these are mostly links to the sites the posts are on and posts I have enjoyed reading , my goal is to post 2 to 3 of my own posts weekly….

match reports are added after each game and ihave a dedicated page , I did host highlights in the first 2 yrs of the blog but loading times on updates took to long when editing so now their is a link to my YouTube page where all the highlights for celtic are and more , I hope everyone stays reading the blog in the new year and beyond thank you all for your support have a wonderful 2017 and a very merry Christmas from the celtic footsoldiers website HH YNWA

The blog was setup over 2 years ago it’s mainly about celtic football club and the great fans ,but Also the wider footballing issues in Scotland like Rangers fc deceased 1873-2012-and there pariah club Sevco …. it’s always developing and it’s not the finished article there’s pages at the top which are works in progress.

The core off the blog is fully operational and theirs more than enough for people to get through,im always adding stuff.so enjoy it and share…this club off ours is very special its like no other and the celtic family is worldwide hh and god bless YNWA

After months of frustration on blog.com ive decided to move the celtic footsoldiers blog to WordPress,at the moment i cant get access to migrate content and its been a while since ive been able to access the account,there was countless hours spent on the blog and there was a varied amount off content and pages on the site,so to say im disappointed to have no access to the blog is unfortunate,i have most of the 170 odd posts saved on my laptop but it would take extensive rebuilding off the blog to get it updated on here,without migrating it over in its entirety,so if i cant bring it all over it’s a fresh day 1 start here,its easy to run a bit wild with these blogs and pages and widgets etc get added through time and yer bogged down with keeping content updated,having experienced all my hard work going into the abyss,i will be keeping the blog going forward for posts mainly,maybe a sevco page,match reports page and video highlights page,but ill be cutting it all back..i hope anyone who followed the celtic footsoldiers blog ,will continue to follow the new updated version,once again sorry for this inconvenience…hh troops and keep the faith ….
