Thank god January is nearly over , it’s the most unsettling part of Any football season , with speculation rife about player exits the transfer window is most unwelcome when the team needs to be concentrating on more important matters ..
One player who had been unsettled more than most was Moussa Dembelle the constant will he won’t he stay has messed with the young players Head and his form had dipped dramatically because of it , hopefully the next 5 months he can now focus on his football with Celtic and put all thoughts of transfers on hold till the summer …
Brendan Rodgers will be glad to see the back of the month of January too …..because during the weekend fixture against Hibernian he lost a further 2 players to injury, losing your no 1 goalkeeper at any stage of a season is a nightmare but a few days before the windows closes and more so because it wasn’t even in your thinking on the transfer front…Craig Gordon’s injury should see a new goalkeeper in before the window closes and the game midweek against Hearts …
Also the injury to Leigh Griffiths is so unfortunate for the team and the player ,just when he was back scoring and looking like getting the no 1 spot up front , now he has to start again when he finally recovers …it’s pure bad luck and I feel so bad for the guy ..
We have such a big injury list just now with Armstrong , Rogic , Hayes , Ralston ,Compper,Roberts, and now Gordon and Griffiths … see details below ….
It’s now up to the club and Brendan Rodgers to get the replacements in quickly , money can’t be an issue we have a big Europa league match in a few weeks and a title to win …it’s urgent these positions are filled if we have any designs on further participation in Europe or our 7 in a row aspirations …
