Celtic head for Inverness on Wedensday night hoping to move one step closer to the 6 th title in a row for the runaway champions, the season has been one off many positives ..

Brendan Rodgers arrival brought in a new era of positive attacking and direct football, a product the supporters love to watch , his tactical know how  also shines through in games and he really is a fantastic man manager …

Some of the players at the club end of last season looked finished and alough we had won our 5 th title in a row under Ronnie deila ,the desire from some off the squad was below par , but step in Brendan Rodgers and these players careers took a turn ..

James Forrest , Stuart Armstrong , Calum mcgreggor , nir biton , are among a short list of first team players who’s careers looked to be heading elsewhere, but Brendan Rodgers made these players dig deep and now they are a important part of the future of the club, all young players showing a greater desire to play for the hooped jersey ….

Celtic already have the league cup in the trophy room , a few more wins and the league will follow ,so can the club go and win the treble , under this manager I think we can , it would be great for Brendan Rodgers to secure a treble in his first term as manager , of course with great success comes challenges to keep people at the club ..

The manager and several top players would be on the radar in the summer following a treble success , Moussa Dembelle who has had a fantastic season on 29 goals in all competition is one such player attracting interest from all over Europe , celtic knocked back a estimated 50 million pound bid from Chelsea in January and who knows how high that price will go come may..

But it says a lot about the club and the player when they decide not to take big money and run , Dembelle could have went to Chelsea and sat in the bench for huge wages , but instead in a good career move he’s remaining in Glasgow and playing week in week out scoring goals and building his future , if celtic get say 2 or 3 yrs from the player it will be great for both parties , if he keeps scoring the money will still be their down the road ..

This season has been one of many positives the club is moving forward on and off the park , people are doing a great job in all areas , we don’t often remember that it’s not just eleven men on the park on a Saturday that makes our club great but 100s of individuals behind the scenes that have celtic as one of the top teams in Britain …

Developments in recent seasons in and around the stadium have enhanced the match day experience for fans , the standing area a huge success the celtic way a wonderful entrance to paradise, the external murals of past players on the stadium , the new ticket office and superstore , and now in recent weeks we heard of further proposals for a hotel complex and museaum to be built as well…

The Buisness model that the board of directors has in place for the club is working well and the club is in very good hands for the future , as celtic fans I’m sure we all are happy where we are and indeed where we are going , the champions league dream will always linger with most supporters but what has to be remembered how many teams have actually won the big cup , not many but celtic have won it once and that can’t ever be forgot .22 teams have won the trophy see table below …

European success is a nice bonus but it’s not the be all and end all of what celtics about ,celtic is one big happy family with a rich heritage and wonderful history , when I look back on my 40 odd years as a fan I remember great games , cup finals , players and moments that defined the club ,that’s why I support celtic it may not always be the case that we are the top team in scotland but while it is im going to enjoy it ….
