Celtic Win Again’As Aberdeen Throw The Pie In’………….

Going into Sundays afternoon kick off against Aberdeen I wasnt to bothered by the outcome having won the title the week before after a fine win against Dundee on the friday night, Aberdeen had to win to keep their slim hopes alive of wrestling away the title from Celtic, on the saturday against Dundee utd Aberdeen raised the white flag as there
championship challenge came crashing down,a brave effort but Celtic were never going to look back after gaining top spot way back in nov 2014….

The games between the 2 have been close in competitiveness during the 90 mins but celtic in all 4 games would find that wee bit extra to take the points, indeed 12 points from 12 against Aberdeen would partly be the difference between celtic winning the league this season,in yrs gone by when rangers 1873-2012 were alive it would be the old firm games that decided the destination of the Scottish title ,it seems now that rangers are dead Aberdeen are the closest challengers to threaten Celtics ambitions for the season….

Yesterdays game was no classic but there was just enough in Celtics play to take a well-earned win,the winning goal from Scott Brown was a thing of beauty it wasnt a 40
yard screamer it wasnt something with trickery and skill with a finish to boot,no it was a goal of sheer determination, our captain has had a fantastic season, and when he charged down Barry Robson on the edge of the celtic box the ball broke and Celtic counter attacked with precision Armstrong picked the ball up on the left-wing and drove into the box where he duped Shay Logan with a drop of the shoulder and played a perfect pass into the six yard box for the Celtic skipper to slide the ball beyond his namesake and give the champions the lead….

49 mins on the clock and Celtic had the lead ,the highlight of the day though for me was when a Aberdeen fan who obviously doesnt like the pittodrie mince pies chose to donate one to the Celtic skipper as he celebrated his goal, broonie in typical jovial fashion decided to
try to pick the pie up in a show of good faith, but had second thoughts when he realised the boss was watching….

A healthy lead at the top of the table moving into the last 2 fixtures should see some of the top stars rested the jobs been done and some players should get the benefit of a few weeks extra rest, especially with champions league qualifiers early July ,its been one hell of a season it started with a new boss unknown to the celtic faithful but who now is their hero
Ronnie Deila has delivered a double winning team in his first season ,things as they say can only get better…

if they do next season we should be looking at the treble we were denied this yr by some dodgy officiating ,of course europe will be interesting also ,so as we say goodbye to this season we welcome the 2015-16 campaign Hh And God Bless………
