8 games out from the finish line and celtic arrived up north to play a Inverness side who have been going well all season sitting in third position in the league, the Northmen always provide the hoops with a stern test and today’s game was no different , the fact that the game was littered with fouls and stoppages only goes to show the competitiveness of the 2 clubs , usually there is only a goal between the sides at least the fixtures last few seasons have shown this….

The game started at a frantic pace and when lee Griffith scored on 3 mins with a fine finish of the post from a shot from just outside the box , it looked like celtic could settle into the game , but before they could Inverness had scored a equalizer within a few mins , both central defenders Van Dyk and Denayer ended up out of position and trying to clear a shot from the line leaving there back line exposed the Inverness striker Ofere finished the attempted clearance firing the ball into the net, the remainder of the half was littered by stoppages and fouls , there was no flow to the teams play today and it’s probably the blip
the team need to get out of there system prior to the run in………………………………………….

The return of club captain Scott Brown was a welcome one with brownie putting himself about and when tackles were flying the fiery midfeilder was never far from the action  , as the 2 nd half developed you kinda knew there wasnt going to be any more scoring , both teams cancelled one another out and looked like they just wanted the final whistle, a point in Inverness is a good one , 8 points clear of Aberdeen now with 7 games to go the treble dream is still alive, the same opponent will face celtic next Sunday in the Scottish cup semi final at Hampden and the large open pitch will suit celtic more so hopefully we shall see a few more goals…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

Falkirk play Hibs on the sat so Celtic will know their opponent should they get through…
Wed night we go again in the premier league against Kilmarnock ,games are coming
thick and fast at the business end of the season ,Aberdeen play Kilmarnock today
(sunday 12th april) so a wee slip up from the dons would be good, looking forward
to the run in it’s not often we get the chance of a treble so its going to be exciting hh…….
